UN OCHA humanitarian

The United Nations uses and contributes to OpenStreetMap world wide, especially in countries where access to accurate data is limited. OpenStreetMap is widely used as the operational map for the United Nations’ work in disaster response, disaster preparedness and conflict zones like Syria.

In this talk, Akiko Harayama from UN OCHA will walk through key examples of how the OpenStreetMap is being used at the UN and point out future opportunities for more OpenStreetMap at the UN.
