The Mexican statistical institute INEGI recently made available its national map as open data, and the OpenStreetMap community has begun the process of improving the map with this content. In this session, we will present some preliminary findings on the quality and richness of the INEGI data and its ability to further enhance OpenStreetMap for turn by turn navigation. Members of the Telenav OpenStreetMap import project will share the technical challenges this import presents and an overall status update on the project.
