This case study centers on integrating OpenStreetMap into high school curriculums in Barnstable County, MA from the perspective of an employee of a regional land use planning, economic development and regulatory agency. The talk will focus on the evolution of the process over the course of two years. Additionally, we will also discuss the agency’s outreach, community service, and the improvement/generation of up to date and accurate data within Barnstable County. Finally, there will be an outlook on future plans for more advanced OpenStreetMap tasks.
